Notities

There was another John Doane of Cheshire, born about 1575 to Ralph Doane and Ellen Davenport, who seems to get confused with this entry. The wives Lydia, Mary Bleaze, and Dorothy Wilbraham seem to have been confused between the two. Ralph was born in 1551 and so could not have been the father of John born in 1561, and John born in 1575 could not have been the father of John Deacon, which is how I deduced there were definitely two individuals, probably cousins or some other relation.
