...the old fishing village of Newhaven situated on the banks of the Firth of Forth, Edinburgh. The village was a close knit Fishing community that began in the 1500's catching and supplying fish to the city of Edinburgh. The village only formally became part of Edinburgh in 1927 but was always referred to as North Leith for the purpose of registering Births, Deaths & Marriages'.
